"So,"
says the Lola, "the night started off with a quick snuggle up to this guy,
who we'll
just name Albert, as he enjoyed the art works created by Jeremy
Szuder,
Tina Anderson (I think thats right...), and Nathan Cartwright.
Here's a fun little sculpture collaboration between Mr. Josh clay and myself...
... and a fine example of a treenis.
On the left is piece from L. Croskey, who just happened to escape the camera's charms tonight, and on the right, Misha.
Oh
fun. This
young lady got caught in deep thougt, visually measure
the deminsions of this painting, in hopes to quickly
sneak
it off without a sound. Unfortunately she concluded its size wouldnt
allow for a near quick escape. and to second the motion, she convinced
herself it was to be to difficult to hold on the long bikeride home.
Little did she realize that the blinky piece just to the upper left of
her would have fit quite snuggly in her nifty little front basket. You
live and you learn.
And
here
we have Miss Megan...aka better half of the Mr. Clay. She was distraught
over the fact that Gabe Leonard had
decided
to use the pose of her grandfather as opposed to her 5 hour nude pose
for his contribution to the show.
I certainly understand her grief.
And now, join me in a 5 second bit of silence to express our love.
Now for the Featured Artist of the night. Join us as Joshua Claygives us his depiction of the pirate-ous female...
Nathan
feels confident tonight that he can capture a photo of the elusive
Lola, but he soon realizes that
she is just too swift, and always
ahead of the game - like the great Loch Ness Monster and the yeti, it
cannot be done.
I then found
myself in the midst of an explosive conversation. Luckily Mr. Spoor
was close by with camera to catch it in action.
I'll
give you a quick overview and some closure, so as not to leave you confused
with your own conclusions.
Megan, still seeing red over the decision Gabe Leonard had made, found
Mr. Leonard. And in the heat of the moment decided
to give GL a piece of
her mind. The commotion quickly confused Mr. Clay over the fact that
the Megan had done any posing, and nude,
and for 5 hours. Now take careful
note of the Andrew of Hosner ( thinkspace / sourharvest) with the telltale
smirk just to
Megan's right, your left.
He was
in
attendance for the posing and thought much humour of Josh Clay's unknowingness.
In fact, we were ALL there for the pose. Im so sorry Josh! (no, really, she's not...)
Tim McCormick always brings such beauty to the Cannibal Flower
Mike
the Poet, whom I met some time back. This fella lives, eats, sleeps,
drinks, showers, walks, runs,
skips to the loo, claps, blinks, coughs,
sneezes, and frollics in the pace of a good beat and a deep thought.
And
as we all wound down the evening with the sweet thought of returning
home to our own little beds,
a small rumor surfaced for just a second
that
Shepard
Fairey had actually been in the back gallery. But I'm here to set the
story straight. No no. Mr. Fairey was not in attendace at all. The
fact of the matter is that in real life he has the remainder of a
torso
accompanied by arms and legs. Which of course leads to hands and then
feet.
